Switzerland approved legislation for a federal beneficial ownership register on 26 September 2025. Covered legal entities will be required to identify and report their beneficial owners, while certain higher-risk corporate advisory activities will face expanded anti-money-laundering obligations.

Sri Lanka Companies Amendment Act 2025 allows single-shareholder incorporation while introducing stricter beneficial ownership rules, a 10% ownership or control threshold and a ban on bearer shares. The reform makes company formation more accessible while significantly strengthening transparency over the individuals behind Sri Lankan companies.
